J'Danse Studio
J'Danse Studio was founded and directed by Janie Koitsis because of her passion for dance and a vision of excellence. Janie has extensive training in ballet, jazz, lyrical and hip hop. She began her dance career at the early age of 3. Janie Koitsis has performed at the competitive level and was featured in various shows and theatres including several television appearances. Janie continued her passion for dance and went on to teach students with the City of Toronto for 11 years both competitively and recreationally. She choreographed competition numbers for the Urban Stomp Competition where her student was awarded 2nd place. She has also choreographed routines for the Winter City Festival at Nathans Phillips Square. She has made several guest appearances at local TDSB schools teaching dance and music to elementary school students.
Janie is also a trained Competitive Figure Skater and is a 2005 Canadian Women's National Junior Softball Champion. She was sponsored as a Quest for Gold recipient by the Provincial Government, and attended The Canadian National Softball Team Evaluation Camp.
Janie attended Wexford C.I School for the Performing Arts where she graduated in Performance Dance and has a Hons Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto.
